The Northrop T-38 Talon is a twin-engine, high-altitude, supersonic jet trainer used in a variety of roles including fighter pilot training, astronaut training, and as chase planes for the Space Shuttle. The T-38 in this photo is used by NASA (Johnson Space Center) for astronaut training.
