In the Rocky Mountain National Park, this view is facing southwest from the Rock Cut Parking Lot on Trail Ridge Road. Large rock walls covered in lichens can be seen here rising above fissures hundreds of feet deep. These formations top off an already spectacular view overlooking Forest Canyon toward the Continental Divide. The visible peaks in this picture include (left to right):
  • Sprague Mountain (12,713 ft.)
  • Hayden Spire (12,500 ft.)
  • Terra Tomah (12,718 ft.)
  • Mt. Julian (12,928 ft.)
  • Cracktop (12,780 ft.)
  • Chief Cheley Peak (12,804 ft.)
  • Mt. Ida (12,900 ft.)
