Dealey Plaza

More Photos

Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas; the location where President John F. Kennedy was shot on November 22, 1963. At the time of the assassination, the building on the right in this photo was the Texas School Book Depository. The Warren commission concluded that 3 shots were fired by Lee Harvey Oswald from this building (from the sixth floor open window on the far right in this photo).

Elm Street is at the bottom of the image; President Kennedy's motorcade was traveling south on this road (right to left). A small white "X" has been painted in the road at the location where he was shot, which can be seen near the back of the black car in this image.

The "Grassy Knoll" is at the lower left; this is one of the locations believed by some to be the hiding place of another gunman.
