Gristmill Restaurant

This is the Gristmill River Restaurant in Gruene Historic District (located 37 miles northeast of downtown San Antonio and 4 miles northeast of downtown New Braunfels on the banks of the Guadalupe River). The restaurant was built in the remains of the brick boiler house that was originally constructed in 1878 as a part of a cotton gin powered by water from the Guadalupe River. The restaurant is located next door to Gruene Hall, the oldest dance hall in Texas.
